Gangs of Swedish and Danish soccer hooligans engage in bizarre street fight (VIDEO)

A couple gangs of Danish and Swedish soccer hooligans met up for what looks like a prearranged streetfight on a leafy country road while an awaiting cameraman filmed the gentlemanly brawl. The less gritty version of The Warriors is odd enough but what resulted was a lesson in fair play in da hood.

Fans of Swedish second-division club GAIS (wearing dark blue) started at one one of the lane while the combined forces of FC Copenhagen and Swedish first-division side Helsingborg IF supporters (wearing red) were at opposite ends off the brawl. The two mobs marched toward each other with their wrapped fists and roundhouse kicks as their only weapons.

The surreal rumble was over in about a minute after the lads in red seemed to have the advantage and pushed the Swedes back up the road leaving a few battered bodies strewn in their wake.

There was an overwhelming sense of order to the whole scene. After a man was pummeled like a human heavy bag, his attackers back off without totally destroying the guy.

When it was decided that the blues had enough, the fight ended and according to Danish paper Ekstra Bladet, the two sides thanked each other for a good fight.

Woman arrested for robbing NY Giants' Shaun Rogers in Miami hotel room

Police have announced the arrest of Subhanna Beyah — the fugitive who was accused of robbing New York Giants defensive end Shaun Rogers of more than $400,000 worth of jewelry in March— after he met the woman in a Miami bar and brought her back to his hotel room.

New York State police told the Associated Press that they arrested Beyah on fugitive-from-justice charges in Queens, N.Y. She was wanted for multiple larcenies involving stolen jewelry and cash. She was arraigned Sunday morning on a fugitive warrant.

Beyah was finally caught in New York after a string of high-end jewelry thefts the 25-year-old allegedly pulled off in Florida.

Rogers, 34, was her most high-profile alleged victim. In March, he'd gone out clubbing with some friends and met a woman at Club Liv in Miami. He brought her back to his Fontainebleau Hotel room around 7 a.m., according to a report, and placed his jewelry in a room safe.

When he awoke at 12:30 p.m., the safe was jammed shut, and Rogers' jewelry was gone. Among the missing items, according to CBS Miami, were diamond earrings (valued at $100,000), two watches ($160,000), a gold necklace and pendant ($50,000), gold bracelets ($60,000), and a diamond Cuban necklace and pendant ($70,000).

It's unclear if those items have been recovered.

The New York Giants had no comment on the incident.

Cameraman catches Slovenian and Lithuanian female hurdlers lining up

A cameraman captured some interesting angles of a few female hurdlers as they lined up, for their 100-meter race Sunday — noticeably focusing on the long-legged runners from Slovenia and Lithuania.

After some slapping and jiggling — ala Michelle Jenneke, the ladies were off.

At the finish line, it looks like the Lithuanian took the field. From the cameraman's view, everyone was a winner.

Luxury sports car mows down crowd during show in Poland (VIDEO)

Authorities say a luxury sports car skidded into the crowd during a car show in Poland, injuring 17 people Sunday.

The Provincial Governor's Office in Poznan, western Poland, said in a statement that four people are in serious condition but luckily their injuries are not life-threatening. Two children are among the injured.
The statement said the driver lost control on a straight stretch of road, broke through a barrier and hit the crowd. Prosecutors are investigating the incident.

Polish agency PAP said the driver was Norwegian. The car was from Swedish specialty automaker Koenigsegg.

The accident took place during the ninth Gran Turismo Polonia show, in which drivers show off their rare sports cars.

Busch takes blame for causing Keselowski pileup at Quaker State 400

Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski were two of the NASCAR drivers involved in a scary wreck during the 48th lap of the Sprint Cup Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday.

The multi-car crash began when Busch, coming back into the track from the apron, bumped the back left of Keselowski's car. The No. 2 then spun down onto the apron before drifting back into the track, losing control before ramming more drivers in the expanding wreck.

It was the worst crash in the track's three-year history of hosting the Sprint Cup Series racing.

"Now that didn't work out so good," Busch said over the radio during the TNT broadcast after the race was temporarily halted under a red flag. "The track just threw me right back into him. That's all my fault."

Greg Biffle, Dave Blaney and Travis Kvapil were among the other drivers whose cars sustained damage.

"I know he didn't intentionally wreck me but it's just one of those things, a chain of events, the way the cars drive." Keselowski told TNT after being released from the care center. "The track has that really bad bump down there. We all know that. So there's no reason to go down there but he still did."

Keselowski had been in contention at the time of the crash, sitting in 10th position.

Mets fan wears 'Art Vandelay' jersey to Citi Field

Seinfeld is long gone but not forgotten.  Thanks to daily dosages of reruns and fans like this guy, who wore a No. 00 Mets jersey with the name Art Vandelay on the back, we get to relive moments from the iconic New York City-based show all the time.

Jerry Seinfeld has always been one of the Mets biggest supporters and would probably be proud of this George Costanza lookalike.

Although George worked for the Yankees, even Biff would know the Mets are the most exciting team in New York right now.

Mets backup catcher makes pitching debut in blowout loss

New York Mets backup catcher Anthony Recker had only one regret after his major-league debut on the mound Sunday.

"I wish I could have gotten ahead of somebody so I could have thrown some off-speed stuff," said Recker, who allowed two runs in the final inning of the Mets' 13-2 loss to the Washington Nationals.

Recker stuck with fastballs, topping out at 88 mph, after being asked to mop up for the bullpen with the Mets hopelessly behind in the ninth inning. The Nationals scored six runs off Brandon Lyon in the eighth to blow the game open.

That prompted manager Terry Collins to make Recker the first Mets position player to pitch since Rob Johnson on May 18, 2012.

"It was just funny," said Recker, who gave up a two-run homer to Ian Desmond before retiring the next three batters on flyouts. "I mean, it's different. I just tried to have fun with it basically. There's nothing else you can do."

Recker last pitched at Alvernia College (Reading, Pa.), where he experimented with a knuckleball. He didn't use it in the game but threw one in warm-ups, and it moved so much that it nearly struck catcher John Buck in the chin.

Buck said he's had plenty of experience catching position players. "Yeah, I played for the Royals, man," he said. "It was not my first blowout."

Recker would finish the game with three straight flyball outs and an 18.00 ERA.
