Things got a little pushy and a lot weirder as Kansas City Chiefs new coach Andy Reid made his way through the postgame scrum of reporters and photographers after his team had just defeated his former team the Eagles, 26-16, on his old stomping grounds at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
When ESPN's Sal Paolantonio approached the coach —after what had to be a gratifying and emotional victory — Reid went out of his way to avoid speaking to him. Reid even instructed a couple of bodyguards to lead interference for him.
Reid made no such fuss about getting hooked up with NFL Network's Alex Flanagan seconds later though. Was Paolantonio jock-blocking Flanagan — whose network broadcast the game?
Still a very strange television moment.
Compare with the Alex Flanagan interview.

Spikeball players videobomb David Pollack during PTI interview
During ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" Friday, a couple of Texas A&M students videobombed ESPN analyst David Pollack — during his interview with hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon — with a game of Spikeball.
While talking about A&M's Johnny Manziel's chances against the Alabama defense, two guys set up the mini-trampoline behind Pollack and proceeded to bounce the ball back and forth.
The backyard sport —which has been called "volleyball's distant cousin" is played on grass, sand or just about any surface but, with spikeball, you bounce the ball off the net first.
I had never heard of the game until the PTI videobomb, but found out it's pretty popular on beaches and college campuses.

USA Today still has high hopes for Hernandez as Patriots 'X' factor
It looks like USA Today didn't hear the news. According to a tweet by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the newspaper's NFL 2013 preview issue still wasn't aware about the stories out of Boston concerning accused murderer Aaron Hernandez when they went to press last week.
Maybe with all of the excitement about Tim Tebow coming to town and everything — the story just got lost. It might be the right time to tell them about that whole other Titanic thing.

Picked up USA Today's NFL 2013 preview issue. Here's what it listed as Patriots "X" factor... pic.twitter.com/eh4dyxmOZPSchefter was then alerted to ESPN's own gaffe by an alert Twitter follower. Ouch.

Fight breaks out in stands during Home Run Derby interview (VIDEO)
When you combine Mike Piazza, the Mets and big events — tempers just seem to flare.
That's what happened during the Home Run Derby at Citi Field Monday night after a wrestling match broke out in the stands while the former Mets catcher was being interviewed by ESPN. And no, Roger Clemens wasn't in the house.
Watch as these two fat guys tussle in the cheap seats behind the ESPN desk while their equally inept buddies try to pry them apart.
Live from New York ... it's Monday Night Fights!

Dolphins' rookie asks ESPN: Where are the fat people in 'The Body Issue?'
One NFL rookie wants to "super-size" ESPN The Magazine's ‘Body Issue’ which hit the stands this week.
Francis sounded a little litigious in one of his last sarcastic tweets. The notorious Twitter user thumbed out:
"I have a hell of a discrimination lawsuit on my hands ... Your move Walt Disney"
Is it time for bigger people to bare it all? One XXX-Large man thinks so.
Miami Dolphins' heavyweight A.J. Francis took one look at the perfectly sculpted bodies in the annual issue and wondered, "where are all the fat people?" via his Twitter account.
The former Maryland star stands 6 foot, 5 inches tall and weighs 309 pounds.
The not so svelte defensive lineman started his Twitter conversation with this:
Hey @espn you need a fat guy in the body issue... Call my agent. #FatIsSexyToo
— A.J. Francis (@AJFrancis410) July 10, 2013
I'd be willing to bet I'm more famous than some of the athletes in the Body issue from obscure sports... @espn give the fat kids a sex idol.
— A.J. Francis (@AJFrancis410) July 10, 2013
@WRTreezy @espn nah b I'm serious. I'm fat and sexy and I'm not alone in that. The world needs to accept me and my people lol

Aaron Rodgers doesn't take kindly to being confused for murder suspect Aaron Hernandez
Aaron Rodgers took to his Twitter account after he was confused for accused murderer Aaron Hernandez during a live segment on ESPN Wednesday. Reporter Jeremy Schaap referred to Aaron Hernandez as Aaron Rodgers during a breaking newscast.
Rodgers' dismayed tweet:
Not funny ESPN
— Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) June 27, 2013
Reportedly, it was Rodgers' first tweet in five days. So it doesn't seem like Rodgers saw Schaap's mistake happen live, though. The slip up happened around 4:15 p.m. ET and Rodgers didn't tweet about it until over five hours later.
As soon as Rodgers did tweet about it, though, Schaap was quick to respond about his mental lapse:
@AaronRodgers12 funny, no. But I did correct myself, right then, which of course the clip does not include.
— Jeremy Schaap (@JeremySchaap) June 27, 2013
You'll be glad to know everything is all well and fine in the NFL once again
